Brief Answer:
no obvious COVID...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Isolated diarrrheal symptoms with cramping are not the obvious symptoms of COVID. If you aren't already better, I would treat you with probiotics and simple pain medications and observe the progress which following all other COVID prevention measures. Yet again, the prevention measures I suggest are to avoid getting infected by the novel coronavirus strains and not because you are already affected.

Regards

Thanks for your reply, that gives me peace of mind. One quick follow up question - can it Typical take several days to achieve solid vowel movements after an intestinal upset? I feel fine otherwise but am still contending with loose stools two or three times a day. I am already taking a probiotic. Any specific foods I should eat or avoid? Thanks!

Brief Answer:
typically get better in next 2-5 days..

Detailed Answer:
Apologies for late reply...

In most cases, bowel movements normalize in 2-5 days after starting probiotics. But in case you are still cramping despite the probiotics, I would be keen to evaluate you for a possible infection albeit a benign one.

In this context, please continue probiotics. I assume you already know yogurt and curd are natural probiotics. I'd encourage you to add them to the diet. Also, consider lot of fibers using a mixture of vegetables. Avoid alcoholic beverages and high spice food products.

Hope it helps. Let me know if you need clarification.

Regards
