Question: Male, 29 years, smoker.

Been having problems in my bowel movement and abdomen for a year, I used to have normal bowel movements, shape, and color, but it all started since I accidentally swallowed a dental crown (please refer to attached picture), since then, I%E2%80%99ve been having gas pain, mild, persistent pain in my lower left abdomen (I feel like gases and stool reach that part then get stuck, because when I sleep on that part, I immediately release gases). I used to sleep on my left abdomen almost all my life, now I can%E2%80%99t because it%E2%80%99s kinda painful. I also feel my poop color changes everyday, there is mucus in stool, and the shape is now narrower than usual, and sort of stringy. I went to two doctors, both of them told me this has nothing to do with swallowing the crown, even though all symptoms started right after swallowing it. Anyway, one diagnosed me with colitis, the other with IBS. I took medications for both and didn%E2%80%99t really feel improvement. I am bothered by the lower left sided pain, and the gas pain, and the fact I can%E2%80%99t pass gases freely (They feel stuck), and that the quantity of stool I pass is greatly less than normal now. please refer to attached pictures.

Hope I hear back from you

Yes as your doctors have said, these symptoms have got nothing to do with the swallowing of crown.
It looks like irritable bowel syndrome only.
Your hemoglobin is within normal limits.
You will get benefited by taking Librax, VSL #3 and Beano and by taking low FODMAP diet.
