Brief Answer:
dense fluid containing lesion

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

It might be an exophytic dense fluid containing lesion and is mildly enhancing. The images need to be reviewed for better interpretation.

Brief Answer:
Thanks for sharing images

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for sharing the link.

We find at least 2 cyst like lesions in the left kidney. One is measuring 9 x 15 mm (AP x TR) in the upper pole and is cortical cyst like lesion 18 x 15 mm (AP x TR) in the lower pole and is exophytic cyst like lesion.

Regarding the density of the cysts, it is showing areas of fluid and areas of soft tissue attenuation. This might be due to summation of fluid and adjacent tissue and/ or mildly thick fluid contents. On using terms homogeneous and heterogeneous for the cysts, it is not showing water like fluid through out and this might be due to protein components or soft tissue summation. The cysts are not big in size and therefore we experience limitations in confirmation of the real density of cysts.

At age 65 years, cysts in kidneys are fairly common and ones in your scan are not big and are likely benign. However ultrasound scan follow up is suggested in 6 months.

Shall be glad to help you out with more questions.
