Hello dear welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
Having knee pain with clicking sounds may be related to many different issues. It may show osteoarthritis or ligament damage.
You may not do a x-ray of knee and an ultrasound of the knee.
Taking anti inflammatory drugs such naproxen will help with pain.
Also pain relieving gel such diclofenac may help .
Use cold compresses on knee.
