I’ve Been Having Pain After Urination For About A Month.

Question: I’ve been having pain after urination for about a month. I had two urinalysis completed in XXXXXXX that came back with no blood and no growth. I had one the other day, and it had microscopic blood. They gave me a cat scan that came back normal first all of my organs. I saw a urologist, who gave me flowmax and another message that turns my urine orange. Can a cat scan show masses and tumors in the bladder? Thoughts?

Brief Answer:
C .T. Scan always detects any mass or Tumor in any organ

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have posted you seem to have been facing a problem of pain at the end of urination and your C T Scan has been reported to be normal .

The pain at the end of urination is usually due to inflammation of a Trigone (Trigonitis) a triangular area at the base of the Bladder .The diagnosis of the same can be confirmed by an endoscopic examination of bladder (Cystoscopy) .

In the mean while continue taking Floxacin prescribed by your Urologist .

You may add
1)Urinary antiseptics like Nitrofurantoin and urinary antispasmodic like Oxybutinine twice daily .
2) Urine alkalizer like Oricitral thrice daily

Ensure to drink more water so as to keep your urine dilute .This will help to reduce the pain .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Thanks for the information. I looked up the trigonitis , and it says that it’s mainly something women have. Also, are there any other potential causes?

Brief Answer:
It could be due to infection of Prostate

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

The microscopic haematuria could be either due to sub clinical infection of bladder or prostate which should get cleared off by taking antibiotics for 10 days .

Thanks and Regards,
