I've Started Gyming From Last 1 Month, In Taking A

Question: I've started gyming from last 1 month, in taking a lot of chicken and meat, some supplementation and whey protein at times. i realized I've started feeling pressure on kidneys from last 10 days. initially I thought it is due to abs workout but later felt it to be due to lack of water intake which was around 3 glass of water, other fluids includes fruits or vegetables juice, teas or coffee, kefir and yogurt. increasing water intake to 8-10 glasses i still feel the pressure. my urine output is lower than intake, at times it's fine but mostly it is not enough like for now I've had 3 and half glasses of water and just urinated once in last 5 hours. urine color is fine often white transparent. no burning sensation during peeing. I'm gaining some weight could be due to muscle exercise as well. could you suggest what could be the possible problems and what tests should I get it done? I'm 28 male

Brief Answer:
Nothing to be worried about .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .Based on the facts that you have posted you have started exercise since month and have doubt about your urine output to be low compared to water intake and also have feeling of pressure in loin .
.
Normally in a healthy individual with adequate water intake of 4-5 liters of water urine output is 1500-2 liters of urine .Where as if you are engaged in a physical exercise the water from the body is excreted in the form of sweating resulting into urine volume being lower .

Taking 5-6 liters of water in 24 hours (Taking 250 ml per hour at regular interval) will keep urine output at normal level .

As regards pressure in kidney area it could be due to heavy exercise of para spinal muscles .

In view of absence of any urinary symptoms it can not be due to any kidney issue .

Adequate relaxation after exercise could help to resolve the problem .

I do not think you need any tests to be done .However if pain is persistent and severe get Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen done to rule out presence of urinary stones.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
