Brief Answer:
You need to take her to the hospital once just to be on the safer side.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I am making an assumption here that the 6 Ibuprofen tablets your daughter has taken are of 400 mg strength, correct me if I am wrong.

6 Tablets will add up to 2400 milligrams or 2.4 grams.

Since your daughter is 16 years old, she would approximately be about 50 Kilograms. (You can let me know the exact weight of your daughter and the exact dose of each tablet).

So, approximately it will be 48 milligrams per KG of body weight, which is not near lethal dose for ibuprofen.

However, in all such cases of self poisonings, it is required to visit the hospital right away so that a gastric lavage can be done and any undissolved drug can be removed from the stomach.

This decreases the amount of drug getting absorbed into the blood.

Apart from this, your daughter will need to be assessed by a doctor in person to declare that she is out of danger.

SO please take her to the nearest hospital and get her looked at.

I hope this answers your concern. Wishing your daughter a speedy recovery.
