Is Strong Odor From Urine During The First Urination Every Morning A Matter Of Concern?

Question: Recently, I have noticed a strong odor from the first the first time I urinate each day, usually as soon as I wake up. It is not necessarily foul nor sweet. Very hard to describe or compare the smell to anything else. I am 99.99% sure I do not have a UTI. The rest of the day there is no noticeable odor. I drink a fair amount of water during the day so I got to the bathroom often. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Based on the facts that you have posted the strong odor to urine especially in the morning is mostly due to urine being highly concentrated resulting from less water intake during night .

Get your routine urine test done to find out the specific gravity of morning sample of urine urine in comparison to specific gravity of urine in afternoon after you have consumed adequate quantity of water .

In absence of any symptoms pertaining to UTI like burning ,frequency urgency and,dysuria you need not worry about it .

Ensure to drink more water before going to bed and during night and observe for any change .
