Brief Answer:
no risk

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

yes it is safe to continue what you do. Herpes can be transmitted by direct contact with the infected individual. Indirect contact is not supposed to result in transmission particularly after the cleaning procedure you've described. Be warned though that you may contract herpes even when your partner has no visible lesions!

I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Kind Regards,
