thanks for your health concerns. many substances including prostaglandins are released during intercourse and particularly orgasm. these are responsible for contraction of smooth muscle including the uterus, which at times can be somewhat painful. they also mediate some contractile functions of the gut. If it interferes though with your sexual activity you should discuss with your gunecologist
