Question: Dr. XXXXXXX The symptoms that I exhibited have gone away - since I sent the email. Not sure how/why. I have been able to "almost" resume our daily walks ( I try and power walk about 30-40 minutes 3 to 4 times a week. I injured my hip when bowling - but not sure if I should resume that sport - since I originally hurt my hip when bowling.

thanks XXXX

Brief Answer:
okay to resume, but cautiously

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I am so happy that you are recovering.
I think it is okay if you resume your bowling but do so slowly and cautiously. Make sure that you stretch before you bowl each time to get the tendons more flexible. Here is a link to a site that can show you some great hip stretches to do.

You do not need to do all of these before you bowl but pick out a few that you do routinely each time before you bowl. Doing them before and after your walking exercise might also be helpful.
Let me know if you have further questions.
