Well, the decision regarding deworming depends on several factors, namely your presenting symptoms, past and present medical history, area of residing and a few others...based on these findings the examining doctor may also get a few basic blood investigations with stool analysis done to look into it further...

Treatment is mainly done with anti-parasitic medications like Albendazole/Mebendazole...

Worms are mainly parasites, which if not treated in time can predispose to several medical complications (the entire list is long, and it's not necessary to list all of them here)...

It's recommended to get yourself clinically checked up once by a doctor, preferably an Internal medicine specialist to decide the further course of action...
