Posted on Thu, 27 Oct 2016
Question: I'm taking etodolac. Would it be safe to drink alcohol if I allow the pills to be absorbed by and, thus, exit the stomach first -- after several hours, for example?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.

As a doctor, I would always say that it is not recommendable to take alcohol with medications, but in this case, it should not have any negative effect if taken in moderate amounts and at least 3 hours after taking pills.

Also, when you take pill, you should not take alcohol for 3 hours.

Wish you good health.
Regards
