Brief Answer:
In some cases, there is a relation between dementia and thyroid function.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask a Doctor' service.

I have read your query and here is my advice.

Some cases of dementia are interrelated to thyroid gland dysfunction.

FreeT4 levels are found to have significance in relation to dementia.

TSH levels also are found low or within normal rangers but in the lower extremity.

In my opinion, you can be evaluated for thyroid gland function and there is a need to evaluate fT4 level, also TSH level.

The lower normal level of TSH is considered as 0.4 mU/L, levels near this value may be considered for a relationship with dementia.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
