Question: I have taken 50mg of indomethicin twice daily for 4 days for gout flare. Pain gone after first dose. Should I stop taking?
If so, can I have wine with dinner?

If there is no residual pain at all then you can discontinue the indomethacin.

In terms of the wine, alcohol can promote a gout flare up, though wine is less likely than beer or liquor.
1 small glass/drink typically does not cause an attack in most persons, though it can for a few individuals but more than 1 -2 drinks in a 24 hour period increases the risk of an attack by 36% according to a medical study released in the XXXXXXX Journal of Medicine in 2014
