I Have Been Trying To Have A Bowel Movement, But

default
Posted on Thu, 23 Jun 2022
Question: I have been trying to have a bowel movement, but when I try to go, i feel something drop (prolapse?) and it seems to block the movement, and nothing comes out. When I relax, it goes back up. I do have chronic constipation not so much in frequency but have to constantly squeeze the poop out. I was able to move some small pieces yesterday morning, but since yesterday afternoon, I have had this condition. How should I proceed? I just took some magnesium which almost always helps me go. should I give it a few hours and see if I have a movement? And if not, and it appears tp be blocked, should I go to the ER? Thanks.

3. Is there on and off abdominal pain?
4. Any history of abdominal surgery?
5. Do you have any hernia?
