Brief Answer:
SOL stands for space-occupying lesion that may include tumor too.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to " Ask a Doctor" service.

I have read your query and here is my advice.

SOL stands for the space-occupying lesions.

Tumors also are included but are not the only possibility.

So, the CT and MRI should evaluate (and eventually exclude) tumor too, but there may be other SOL as well such as hemorrhage, vascular malformations, etc.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

so I shouldn’t be worried about no getting checked for a brain tumor?

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.

You need the CT and MRI to be sure.

In my opinion, only ongoing headaches don't mean that there is a brain tumor that is causing them, anyway, this should be evaluated with imaging studies too.

Hope I helped you.

Take care
