Question: I have a red, rash-like skin problem on my eyelid. It has skin flaking on it sometimes and is a little tender when I scratch the dead skin away. It has improved with Neosporin, but not gone away. What do I need to do to get rid of it?

Brief Answer:
may be eyelid dermatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and attached image. Here is my advice.

As per your history, it may be eyelid dermatitis due to dry skin.

For that I would suggest you to apply ointment containing neosporin and hydrocortisone. You can also apply moisturizing cream like vaseline jelly. These medications should be available over the counter.

You can also apply aloe vera gel or coconut oil locally.

Along with that, avoid harsh cosmetic products, avoid scratching or touching to eyes.

Kindly watch for symptoms like sticky eyes, eye pain or redness. In that case you may require topical antibiotic eye drops.

Let me know i can assist you further.
