So do you think they got the squamous cell tumor out with the biopsy? Because the first report did say squamous cell .. they cut off the sore on my face..the area where I had the biopsy healed real nicely .. it did not look like anything but maybe a faint scar where the sore had been cut for the biopsy. But my derm said it may have roots down under the skin so I went to the mohs derma to get it removed.. but you are saying that the report showed no cancer..so basically I got 7 stitches on my face for the removal of a deep piece of skin that had no cancer.. since the spot healed should I have refused the second surgery.. I was just doing what the doctor told me to do but now I have a big scar on my face.. it is between my lip and nose.. thanks so much for your reply

Brief Answer:
Yes squamous cell cancer was removed in first biopsy itself,

Detailed Answer:
Yes the squamous cell carcinoma was removed in the first biopsy itself.
You didnot have any residual cancer.
The mohs surgery was done to be absolutely sure that no cancer tissue has been left behind.
It is good than you have no cancer in the left over tissue.
For a doctor it is very important that the patient should not have any recurrence or relapse of the disease.
Thats why he asked for a mohs surgery to be absolutely sure that no disease has been left.
