Question: I bruised my left shin Dec. 25th, it presented with a lump the size of a small egg and blued down to ankle. The swelling has gone down considerably, but skin is flaking off and seems to be moist. Initially the bruise stung for approx. 7 days.

Hi,

After an injury, skin tissue that is damaged get flaked off during the course of time. It will shed off to be replaced by a fresh healthy skin. Based on your description, this is what could be happening.

Absence of pain and reduction is swelling are good signs of recovery. But I would like to review images of the affected area. Can you upload good quality picture of the affected area?
