I Am Trying To Find A Way To Get My

Question: I am trying to find a way to get my inhaler for COPD . With my insurance I still have to pay $450.00 for one inhaler. That is absolutely stealing. I have tried other drug stores as well as buying from Mexico. I pay $5.00 but I can only get 2-3 at a time and only when a friend is traveling there. This is a rip off for those of us who have breathing problems and need these.

Brief Answer:
difficulty obtaining MDI for COPD

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ebri and welcome to Ask A doctor.
I have read your query and here is my advice.

I agree with you $450 for an inhaler(metered dose inhaler or MDI) is outrageous.

Let me suggest that you look on the canister or box the MDI came in and find the manufacturer's name. You can call the maker of MDI and explain your situation or you may try contacting one of the manufacturer's drug representatives in XXXXXXX Oregon, (I believe this is where you live) to see if s/he can be of assistance.

Another possible source of help is the XXXXXXX Lung Association.
Remember- NO SMOKING!

Let me know if I can assist you further. Wish you good health.
