Brief Answer:
Clindamycin gel

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The picture that you sent was not very clear. I was unable to look into the features present on the lesions. However based on your description it seems like she has an infected acne. I would start her on clindamycin gels like clindac gel on the affected region. Proper care should be taken to avoid popping the lesion or handling it with bare hands.

Commonly as the acne heals it leaves a pigmentary spot which would fade away with time and new skin will replace the dark areas. Just use of good moisturizer and sunscreen are sufficient. But if it takes time to clear, you can fasten the process by using benzoyl or isotretinoin creams.

In the nutshell, I suggest using clindamycin gel until the active infected pimple is treated followed by retino 0.025% gel on the pigmented areas for few days.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards

PS: Retino cream should only be applied at night. Make sure you wash it away in the morning before walking under the sun.
