Question: small sore just above left ankle ... clear liquid slow continuois drain ,,, how serious ... what cure ,,, been going on for a couple days legs swollen ... have not serious type diabeties 83 yo

Hi,

As per your description, it looks like Cellulitis, infection of skin and subcutaneous tissue.
Please post a pic if you have no objection for accurate diagnosis.

Give rest to the affected limb. Keep it elevated.
I prescribe Antibiotic like Linezolid 600mg twice daily and Anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
Please consult your doctor and get appropriate prescription.
Get Blood sugar levels checked regularly.
Nothing to worry.
It will come down.
