How Long Will Antagonistic Actions Of Paliperidone That Nullify The Effects Of LSD Take To Leave The System?
Question: A question for someone with a thorough understanding of the psychiatric medication Paliperidone (Invega) and its effects on the brain. For my question to make sense, I am going to post some information i have found pertaining to my question, after this info i will ask my question. The information is as follows:

My question is If 2 6mg xr tablets of paliperidone (which from what I've read is closely related to risperdone in that Paliperidone is converted to risperdone pretty quickly after ingestion and the two medications are almost the same) are injested how long will it take for the take the antagonistic actions of the paliperidone, that nullify the effects of lsd, to leave the system? How long will it take for the antagonistic actions to be completely worn off? How long till the Paliperidone is completely out of the system? Will it take the 3-4 weeks the same as someone on regular prescription? Or will the two tablets of Paliperidone wear off much sooner in their antagonistic actions, than in someone on a regular prescription? In short, when will any effects that two 6mg Paliperidone tablets have on lsd be completely gone?

Paliperidone is an active metabolite of Risperidone and is comparatively newer drug. The drug has actions on 5 HT2A, D2 receptors. The affinity for 5HT2A receptors is more and this is the reason for selective action.
If we consider LSD mechanism of action then the action is on different receptors. LSD has actions on 5HT2A, 5HT1, Dopamine and a number of other receptors.
So taking Paliperidone doesn't mean that this will block the actions of LSD directly. The pharmacokinetic properties play a role. This doesn't mean that Paliperidone helps to clear the LSD or nullify its effects.
The actions of Paliperidone lasts not more than 24 hours and the drug get cleared in around a week. Long acting injections have long duration of actions. For someone on regular prescription after stopping the drug 2 weeks are needed for full clearance.
There are no direct effects on actions of LSD. Competitive inhibition might play a role in this but in around 2 half lives the effects will last. We can roughly take this to 24-48 hours.
