Brief Answer:
Usually heals in 6-8 weeks.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

In the fracture of vertebral body if it is a hairline un-displaced fracture can heal in 6-8 weeks with proper rest. Moving around will cause the pain. You can use a back brace in case you want to sit for a while. Adding daily calcium and vitamin D3 supplements will also help in bone healing.
The pain after kyphoplasty can be due to local edema or lack of proper muscle tone or disc edema. Proper diagnosis needs a close examination by your neurologist.

I hope this answers your query.
