Brief Answer:
use of over the counter med-permethrin or pyrethrins and piperonyl butoxide

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Treatment of pubic lice involves:

Using a lotion containing 1% permethrin or a mousse containing pyrethrins and piperonyl butoxide. These can be found over the counter at your local pharmacy

The infected area is initially washed and toweled dry then the medication is applied thoroughly. The areas should be saturated with the medication. After leaving it on for the recommended time (would be on the package), it should be removed and clean clothing put on.

Towels, clothing and bedding used within 2 to 3 days should be machine washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer.

If after treatment, live lice are still found then treatment may need to be repeated in 9 to 10 days.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions.
