Question: I had a UTI about a month and a half ago and ended up in ER with a catheder and on antibiotics . After that there is still what looks like the same infections coming out in my urine. I have been using d-manosse with cranberry powder and lt seems to be taking a lot out . Do I still have the infection or not.

Brief Answer:
Do a urine culture and start antibiotic.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
As per your description it seems like you are having recurrent urinary tract infection. You also have enlarged prostate and diabetes. Both these conditions predispose you to UTI.
Antibiotic therapy is the key in urinary tract infections and cranberry juice alone won’t help.
Do a urine culture and sensitivity test to confirm the presence of infection and we can also find out which organism causing the infection and we can also choose the best antibiotics.
Also make sure that the diabetes is controlled.
Wishing you good health
