Brief Answer:
Nothing needs to be done unless you have any complaints.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Let me remark that sludge or stones can often be found in the gallbladder incidentally during an ultrasonogaphy when the individual is actually without any symptoms. If that is the case, nothing needs to be done and it is possible that the individual might not have any symptoms till the end of his life. It is only if pain due to acute or chronic cholecystitis occurs that the gall bladder needs to be surgically removed. Otherwise no intervention except for a less fatty meal, is essential. Sometimes bile sequestering agents like ursodeoxycholic acid are prescribed for sludge reduction. But I do not see a justification for the same.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards.

Brief Answer:

Sludge can often be removed by reducing the fat content of your food.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Sludge in gallbladder will not render you unfit for a sea job. Even with treatment with sequestering agents like ursodeoxycholic acid sludge may or may not be removed. On the other hand, it could go away without any treatment.

Hope this helps you.
