Brief Answer:
Needs caution

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I understand your concern. Eliquis is an anticoagulant that should be prescribed very cautiously to patients over 80 years of age, due to age related decreased kidney function.

A urine test and a complete medical history will help your doctor gauge the right dosage of Eliquis for you.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
