Hi There, My Baby Is 1.5yrs Old And He Weighs

Question: Hi there, my baby is 1.5yrs old and he weighs about 13.5kgs(boy). Is it normal for 17months old baby.? Hes very active .But we are worried about his growth.
We are normal parents with avg height and weight, but baby is increasing weight very regurlarly.

Kindly pls inform us about this.Theres no need to worry right??

Let me assure you that the weight is on the higher side for age (above 97th percentile). However, a single measurement of weight does not convey anything and periodic assessment is needed. The weight (also the previously recorded ones) need to be plotted on a WHO growth chart (weight for age) which can be downloaded free online. The plottings need to be connected and the trajectory evaluated. It is only after that it can be determined whether endocrine evaluation is needed. As of now, I do not think that it is concerning.

If the child is active and playful, rest assured that there is no reason to worry.
