Brief Answer:
Need evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Hi

From the details provided you been suffering with intermittent knee pain. Since there is no swelling and associated complaints, I am unable to consider a single condition as the likely cause. And since the pain has been for more than a year, I will strongly recommend not to ignore. You need to consult an orthopedic surgeon who can examine the knee, order calcium and metabolic parameters along with radiological test including X-ray.

Hope this helps.

Regards
