Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for using Ask A Doctor service...
I have gone through the query and do understand your concern.

Both coriminic syrup and maxtra drops have the same composition as chlorpheniramine and phenylephrine. The difference is in strength as one is syrup and another is drop.

Both these are given for symptoms of a cold and mild cough.

When given in prescribed dosage the side effects are very less. The common side effect is excessive sleepiness. Other can be stomach upset.

Snoring while sleeping can be due to nasal blockage or associated tonsillar enlargement.
You may put nasal saline or decongestant drops after consulting your pediatrician.
Steam inhalation also helps.

I won't get worried if the baby is otherwise active, taking feeds well and there is no breathing difficulty.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more queries.
Wishing your baby a speedy recovery
Regards
