Brief Answer:
BLOOD THINNERS AND SLEEPLESSNESS

Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

Here is my opinion regarding your query.

Advil PM contains 200 mg of ibuprofen and 38 mg of diphenhydramine citrate,an antihistaminic.

Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which works through a different mechanism than aspirin or other blood thinners.
However it is ulcerogenic and higher doses affect kidneys adversely.

Antihistamine component poses risks like decreased alertness and sedation(though a wanted side effect in your case),drowsiness, memory issues, urinary retention and increased risk of falling, specially in elderly.
Tolerance to the antihistamine’s sedative effect also develop quickly, blunting it's action.

You can take it tonight as a night time sleep remedy (no added risk of bleeding) but don't make it a habit.
It should be used as a pain reliever only.
If you need a sleep aid every night, you should talk to your doctor.

Hope that I have answered your query.
Stay healthy.
Regards.
