Brief Answer:
Sleep study is necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

I have read your query and here is my advice.

Since you are experiencing sleep problems from a while and there seems to be a worsening of the condition, further examinations are necessary.

This because of the need to evaluate correctly conditions such as narcolepsy, partial seizures, etc.

For this purpose is necessary a sleep study.

Discuss with a sleep Specialist for these issues.

Of seizures or narcolepsy will be excluded, sleep paralysis remains the most likely diagnosis.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Feel free to ask if you have further questions.
