I am non-veg and take North Indian/Bengali food.
I have had some surgery last year so I generally avoid fiber contained food and leafy-veg e.g. Spanish etc

Brief Answer:
Regarding Your Diet Plan

Detailed Answer:
Dear user,

Greetings from ASK A DOCTOR!!

Your concerns are addressed below.

1)     As per your height (5.9”) and weight (65Kg) your BMI is 21.2kg/m2. This is in normal range (18.5-24.9kg/m2) so according to your BMI you need weight Management Diet.
2)     As you have mentioned that last year you had a surgery please let me know more details about the surgery you have gone through, and also I would like to know is there any particular reason or doctor’s suggestion to avoid fiber rich foods after the surgery.

Awaiting your reply.

Thanks,
Anudita Chakraborty

I had colon bypass surgery and reconstruction of the bowel channel due to Colon cancer detected earlier, due to which doctors have advised not to have a high fiber diet. last year I was 55 kgs in Dec. Now I have added 10 kgs. I am concerned about my increasing weight as doctor advised me to keep my weight under control
