How Long Does Regestrone Take To Commence Menstruation?
Question: Hi Doctor, I'm XXXXXXX aged 33. I 'm mother of 2 and operation is also for not having kids anymore.
both are C-Section. I usually get my period with 2/4 days delay. this time it was further delayed. actually it is supposed to be on 28th march. as I have house warming function on 20th April as per family doctor suggestion I took Regestrone 5mg and stopped it after Friday morning ie.,06.04.2018. till now I didn't get my period. I'm very tensed as I have my function ahead.
can you suggest me something so that I will be in my periods ASAP.

Your doctor has advised you with proper treatment. Ideally, it can be taken for 3-5 days, following which you are expected to get your periods within a weeks time. For the time being, I would suggest you wait for another 5 days and if you haven't got your periods by then, you can restart the same medication from 15th of April to the desired date till when you wish to postpone your periods.
If you experience frequent irregularities in your periods, it would be worthwhile to get a proper check up to exclude any internal pathology.
