Hi DR, I Find Myself In A Very Embarassing Situation.

Question: Hi DR,
I find myself in a very embarassing situation. A few of my co-workers are XXXXXXX and we were talking, and they were telling me about prostate orgasms and how great they feel etc. I have a girlfriend but I do admit I was a little bit curious so I thought maybe I'll try it one day to see what the hype is all about. Well last night I decided to try it and I inserted a chapstick bottle inside my rectum to see if it would feel good and the bottle cap got stuck even though the rest came out. I kept trying to push it out but it won't come out by itself. It has a diameter of 2 cm or 0.7 inches and it just looks like a bottle cap to give you an idea. It doesn't hurt, infact I could go on about my day and forget its there most of the time but I am starting to feel a slight discomfort, the kind of discomfort you feel when you're constipated. I did manage to have bowels movements this morning and the feces looked much smaller than usual, sort of like cat ones, as if they were being cut in size, by the bottle cap I assume. I took metamucil and ate fibers. There was no blood in the feces. The bowel movement I've had this morning was pretty forced, I haven't had a real genuine need to go poop yet so I am wondering if this will just come out when I go or if I should seek medical attention immediately? I went to the emergency at the hospital in my city but I would have to wait like 10 hours before seeing a doctor and it's so embarassing explaining this to every nurse I have to talk to. Should I be okay just waiting to poop it out? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Depends

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome. First, this is not at unusual scenario and trust me, nurses have seen even more embarrassing situations and foreign bodies in rectum. If this is just 2cm long then it should come out with bowel movements unless this is sharp and become stucked in rectal curve. If there is no bleeding, pain or inability of stool passing then you should not be worried and you can wait. But if these symptoms occur, you should see doctor. Also, if there is no cap extraction after next few bowel movements you should see doctor as well to have endoscopic removal of it. Wish you good health. Regards
