Question: Hey Doc I have a some pain in my right shoulder towards my right chest which might be anxiety not sure. I am worried about my heart as my dad just passed due to a heart issue. I got my tripponin test done two weeks ago and all good. I just don't want to run to an emergency room again. I don't feel like something heavy is on my chest or anything of the kind. Opinion? Thanks. Best Regards

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms are not typical of a cardiac disorder.

I would like to know if the pain in your shoulder is triggered by shoulder movements.

This would be indicative of a musculoskeletal pain.

In such case there is no reason to panic. Ibuprofen would help improve your situation. I recommend trying it.

Anyway, if the chest pain persists and it is related to straining physical activity, I would recommend complete with your attending physician and performing an exercise cardiac stress test, in order to completely exclude any cardiac issues.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

Based on the type of the pain and your blood lab tests, I would exclude any possible cardiac disorders.

So, just relax and don't worry about it!

In my opinion, this is just musculo-skeletal inflammation. I recommend having some rest and taking ibuprofen or naproxen for the pain.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Let me know about everything!
