Brief Answer:
Can be due to prolonged walking.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A persistent pain in the area that you have mentioned can happen due to ligament stretching due to prolonged walk with an improper shoe or an improper support to the arch of the foot. Such pain usually subsides with rest and mild pain killers. If there is no visible swelling in the area or pain on deep pressure then you can use an elastic brace or crepe bandage for an extra support. It will gradually improve improve on its own. In case the pain worsens or swelling appears then do consult your physician for a direct examination.
I hope this answers your query.
