Brief Answer:
Given some tips for home care. Some more information, please.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Lakemings,
Thanks for your query.

What I gather, from your description that you have severe backache and are suspecting disc prolapse. Is it?

Actually, I wish to get some details of the event..the symptoms you have, if you can...still before knowing that..here are few things I can advise for some relief.

-Take complete rest till the pain subsides/ gets bearable. Lie down in bed. Do not bend, no painful movements, no massage, please.

-You can use a hot or cold pack (whatever relieves you)
-Take over the counter pain pill, Ibuprofen 400 mg two or three times a day (depending on your age, weight, and severity of pain)after food only. Take Ranitidine 150 mg each time with it.

You may need to attend ER in case of more serious symptoms than pain

Let me know your specific problem with your physical status for further suggestions.
Thanks
