Question: Hello, I have a history of Atrial Fib. Since then, I have had a lot of anxiety as it was a stressful experience. With that being said, I take Citalopram and Clonazapam, as prescribed. I ran out of Citalopram last week, and Clonazapam. I worry that something is going to happen so I have an Sp02, Blood Pressure, and a Kardia EKG Monitor. I took my readings and my Sp02 was just at 97%25, Blood Pressure was at 125/79, and I am attaching my most recent Kardia Test in which I took. The reason why I am worried is because I am anxious and my face is tingling. Could this be some sort of withdrawl from not having my medicine?

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome back to Ask a Doctor service!

I reviewed carefully your ECG reports and I am glad to confirm that they are perfectly normal.

Coming to this point, I think that the face tingling could be related to anxiety, probably caused by the abrupt withdrawal of citalopram and clonazepam.

You should know that both these drugs should be stopped gradually (gradually reduce in the dose), very slowly in order to avoid withdrawal symptoms like rebound anxiety or face tingling etc..

For this reason, I recommend consulting with your attending physician as soon as possible and start again those drugs.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
