Question: Hello. Fell off a sidewalk 3 days ago and hurt my ankle. it has swollen up but has not bruised. The pain is radiating from my ankle up calf even when resting it. Should I be concerned?

The pain and swelling in the area of ankle can be due to a bone injury or a tendon injury. If you are able to walk and bear weight on the foot without any extensive pain then a bone injury is less likely. But is best to get an X-ray and MRI scan done for proper diagnosis. Till then keep the foot elevated on two pillows and see if it reduces the swelling.
