Question: Have egg size hematoma on lower right leg between calf and shin. Bruised and extremely painful. Bruise has started spreading to other parts of leg, i.e. under knee and heal. It has recently become red and swollen and still very painful. What should I do. Been x-rayed but no broken bones. Thanks

Brief Answer:
It could be Cellulitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, it could be Cellulitis.
Ultrasound of the right lower limb will give a clue about a Localised collection (Haematoma) or Spreading Cellulitis.
If Cellulitis is confirmed, you should take Antibiotic like Linezolid and Anti inflammatory tablets.
If Haematoma is present,it can be removed surgically
Please consult a Surgeon and proceed further
Nothing to worry
