Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask A Doctor"

I have gone through your query. It looks like you are having dry mouth which can be due to various causes. When the salivary glands are not producing much saliva it causes dry mouth, it can be due to some medicines/drugs/autoimmune diseases such as Sjogren's syndrome.

Usually, the side effect of medicine will reduce as soon as you stop the medicines. If its due to autoimmune disease it will usually be lifelong. Severe dehydration can also cause dry mouth and nose.

You can try these methods to keep your nose and throat moist by warm water with a pinch of salt gargle, nasal saline drops and drinking extra fluids to keep them moist. Do not smoke/drink alcohol.

If it still persists then it is best you meet a physician or ENT specialist for a detailed examination and treatment.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to discuss further.

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As it is only since 1 day, you can do the salt water gargling and nasal saline drops. Drink lots of water and Electrol powder. Steam inhalations with a drop of eucalyptus oil will also help retain the moisture. This will keep you hydrated. Follow this for a week.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to discuss further.
