Earlier This Morning I Broke A 36 Hour Fast, And

Question: Earlier this morning I broke a 36 hour fast, and as I usually do after a fast, I am feeling very good. However, my temp seems a little higher than normal, around 99.0. It is usually in the low to mid 98s. My sense of smell and taste are normal (which I check on a regular basis due to Covid). Could fasting raise the temp? Or maybe eating and breaking the fast raise the temp? Ot is 99 just a normal range for the middle of the day?

Brief Answer:
Normal findings

Hello
Welcome To Ask A Doctor Service
I have gone through your question, I understand your concern.

Fasting has nothing to do with temperature.
99.0 is absolutely normal and nothing to worry about.

If you are very much concerned, then do a 4 hourly temperature charting. 99 or anything below is normal.

I hope your query is clear now.

Thanks and regards
