Detailed Answer:
Hii. Welcome to the healthcare services. It looks like your husband is having an cut near alveolar mucosa near the tooth or if can be some kind of ulcer over the alveolar mucosa. Please consult a dental surgeon and an ent surgeon also. Do your husband chew betel leaf products? Is his tooth hygiene is okk? Can you send a picture of the cut?He may be having dental caries due to poor hygiene, or any bacterial infection. It's better to get an orthopantogram x ray to see the condition of the teeth. If the tooth are decayed he need to start an antibiotic and tooth should get removed and need to start an antibiotic after the extraction. Is he diabetic and having any nasal symptoms like watering from nose, nasal obstruction, bleeding from nose. Sometimes diabetic patient can have allergic fungal sinsusitis which can erode the soft palatepalate and the alveolar mucosa. Please review if you have any queries.
