Question: Does xanax make tinnitus worse? What about tylenol and z/pack? The ringing is very bad. I took claritin, 2 pills of z/pack, 1 tylenol snd 1 xanax and the ringing is so bad i cant stand it. Also took 15mg of zolpidem and barely slept. Any advice?

Brief Answer:
Supportive care

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Tinnitus that severe not responding to anxiolytics should be evaluated by an otorhinolaryngologists and likely be advised for hearing aids an other supportive measures. Use masking devices, tinnitus retraining, hearing aids to help with the tinnitus. TCAs like Amitriptyline can also help and alprazolam along with zolpidem to help with the tinnitus. Hear small low volume of music in room, keep the wall clock that sounds on ticking this way it will redirect the tinnitus bothering. Use gingko biloba, zinc supplements and B complex vitamins as well. Talk to an otorhinolaryngologist and let them sort out other possibilities for this tinnitus and manage it accordingly.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
