Question: Dear Sir,
my aunt is 32 years old, she had undergone Abdominal Surgery for tumor, please guide is this tumor has some future complications also suggest any additional test to evaluate the future complications.

Thanks for your query.

As per the report she has got desmoid tumor, which has been completely excised, so chances of future problems are less.

Desmoid tumors are fibrous, much like scar tissue. They are generally not considered cancerous (malignant) because they do not spread to other parts of the body. However, they can recur at the site of operation for which close followup is required.

She needs to followup with her surgeon regularly to avoid any complications.
