Question: Dear Sir
One of my uncles is suffering from Ankalising Spondalitis . I wanted to understand if there is any other medication for him except NSAIDs and Autoimmune Medicines.
Is there any genetic treatment available for this ?

In case of ankylosing spondylosis, if NSAIDS are not effective in reducing the pain and stiffness then a biologic medicine like TNF blocker or IL-17 inhibitor can help. These are given as an injection under the skin. You can discuss with his rheumatologist regarding these options. Genetic treatment is still under trials and is not approved by FDA for regular clinical use.
