Could Boost Plus Aggravate Symptoms Of COPD, Hypercalcemia Or Atrial Fibrillation?

Question: I have an eighty-six year old sister who is experiencing an onset of excess calcium in her body, a condition diagnosed as Hypercalcemia. She is also suffering from COPD and is now declared in anti-fib condition. Three years ago, she lost her appetite and stopped eating. She has been placed on Boost Plus for her main source of food. Is it possible the Boost Plus may be aggravating her present condition? Thank you for any observations you may provide.

Brief Answer:
Don't take Boost plus because contains calcium and VitD

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Boost plus contains 4 protein to help maintain muscle
26 vitamins and minerals
calcium and vitamin D to support bone health
antioxidants (selenium and vitamins C & E)
3 g PREBIO a blend of prebiotic fibers to support digestive health
The calcium and vitamin D contribute to hypercalcemia she already has.
Hypercalcemia can lead to health problems such as renal insufficiency, vascular and soft tissue calcification, and kidney stones. The vascular calcification caused by hypercalcemia has been found to increase risk of coronary artery disease.
So I advice you not to take boost plus but find another supplement that doesn't contains calcium and vitamin D.

Wishing good health to your sister. Hope I have answered your questions. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards
